Four years after author Amy Chua’s “Tiger Mom” thesis was published, there still remains a debate over the parenting styles of mothers in Asia and the West.
So is the stereotype of strict Asian mothers that Chua presents really true? And if so, what’s the reason for this approach and do modern-day Chinese youth agree with it?
