Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to the United Kingdom this week has been hailed as a great success. He and his wife, First Lady Peng Liyuan, were warmly greeted by the Queen and members of the British Royal family. President Xi addressed the British Parliament. And, he was feted at a state banquet in Buckingham Palace. The Chinese leader and British Prime Minister, David Cameron, also made progress on trade and investment.
