The red envelope is a long-held tradition surrounding the Chinese New Year. But, with updated technology, the tradition is now going high-tech.
The tradition states that children are given red envelopes of cash for the holiday. But now, social media giant WeChat is updating the tradition by allowing people of all ages to exchange digital red envelopes of money with each other.
