Noting that the U.S. and China are the two largest producers of agricultural products in the world, he said agriculture is a vital part of the Sino-US relationship. With President Xi’s upcoming visit to the US, Vilsack said it’s a wonderful opportunity for President Obama and President Xi to have a conversation about what he said is China’s need to essentially synchronize its regulatory system with the rest of the world.
